LB utility sheds

>

LB utility sheds are predominantly used as covers for regulation, measuring, security and other equipment. These are structured comprised of self-supporting fibreglass shells. The fibreglass construction ensures these structures will have a very long lifetime with absolutely minimal maintenance requirements.

The use of utility sheds is ideal everywhere where, for technical or economic reasons, it is necessary to find an operative solution for quickly making installed equipment operational (for example, this significantly simplifies the building permit process). Installing equipment into a utility shed also makes economic sense – it is less expensive than building a brick structure.

The estimated lifetime of LB utility sheds is at least 30 years (the first sheds of this type were manufactured in the early 1970s and continue to serve their purpose well). For the entire lifetime of the product, minor additional equipment and construction adaptations can be carried out on it.

STANDARD LB UTILITY SHED DESIGN

LB utility sheds are manufactured in models with or without thermal insulation. The construction of the sheds complies with current environmental demands and all parts have been designed in accordance with legal norms and the relevant safety, hygiene and fire prevention regulations.

The shell of the structure is comprised of upper and lower shells and a front wall with a door. The shells are made of 4 mm thick fibreglass and reinforced ribs. In the thermally insulated model, 30 mm thick polyurethane is used for the insulation. The inner walls are comprised of a 1.5 mm thick fibreglass skin. The front wall is a sandwiched construction (3 mm thick exterior skin, 1.5 mm interior skin and 32 mm thick polyurethane core). All parts of the shell are connected to each other with screws, and these connections are sealed with rubber sealant and re-laminated.

The doors are also a sandwiched construction (3 mm thick exterior skin, 36 mm thick polyurethane core and 2 mm interior skin). The doors can be locked with a standard cylinder lock.

The floor of the structure is made of 30 mm thick soft wood.

Ventilation of the inner space is secured by openings (130 mm x 130 mm) in the walls of the structure, protected with covers with blinds. If requested, a ventilator or air conditioning unit can be added to the structure.

Electrical installation. The shed can be equipped with a distributor with outlets and circuit breakers for individual circuits. A light bulb light which can be turned on and off with a switch by the door is used to illuminate the area. The overall electrical installation corresponds to ČSN (Czech and Slovak) norms and an initial control report is always issued for it. The electrical installation can be entirely adjusted to meet the client’s special requirements or the needs of the installed technology. The sheds can be equipped with ventilators (connected through the thermostat), space heating panels, security systems etc.

DESIGN ADAPTATION OPTIONS:

  • Distribution box built into the front wall featuring an integrated main circuit breaker, neutral bar and space for installing an electricity meter;
  • Fixed or rotating frame for installing operational equipment by the rear wall;
  • Improved ventilation with a ventilator;
  • Installation of an air conditioning unit;
  • Heating the shed with a convection space heater;
  • Floor opening to install the shed directly on top of a measuring shaft (delivery includes special metal anchoring frame instead of concrete foundation blocks);
  • Any RAL colour paint.

LB UTILITY SHED TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION

LB utility sheds are transported on standard trucks that have the corresponding lifting ability. A fork lift or crane can be used in manipulation (loading, storing). For installation, the assembled structure is screwed on to on reinforced concrete foundation blocks. The concrete blocks and screws are included in the delivery.
