Metalworking
Variel is able to execute a wide variety of metalworking orders. To do so it has manufacturing operations that include a large metalworking hall (900 m2), a hall for preparing materials with a computer-controlled machine for dividing, boring and shaping materials (900 m2), a lacquering facility with modern lacquering boxes (900 m2), a powder coating line, a sandblasting box for pre-treating materials, an assembly hall (900 m2) and auxiliary workshops, including a machine shop. The halls are equipped with cranes that have a carrying capacity of 10 t. To develop new products, the company has its own development and design department.
The company carries out the following activities in these sites:
- Cutting, clipping, burning, including CNC cutting (TruShear 5104, 2D laser TruLaser 3040)
- Bending, boring, shaping, including CNC punching (TruPunch 3000, TruBend 5320)
- Welding – steel, stainless metal, aluminium, including robot welding (ABB IRB 2040)
- Sanding, sandblasting, lacquering and powder coating.
- Assembly.
The company holds the following certificates:
- Large welding certificate in compliance with DIN 18800-7:2002-09, class E;
- Certification in compliance with DIN EN (ČSN) 15085- Certification in compliance with Czech Rail regulations V95/5;
- Large qualification certificate in compliance with ČSN 73 2601-Z2, for steel structures;
- Certification of company qualification for manufacturing and repairing ISO series 1 containers.
The products from metalworking are both semi-finished projects such as container constructions, container shells, shelves, frames etc., and the finished products themselves – ISO containers (shipping), truck bodies, cantilevers for automatic toll collection on motorways, antenna towers, shelf systems, scaffolding components, spectator stands and additional steel constructions. The company is able to execute orders, including on site assembly, anywhere in the world.
