BASIC DESCRIPTION
The container is designated for storing and transporting drinking water on vehicles equipped for transporting ISO 1C containers. It can be filled with drinking water using three different methods that are independent of one another: using pressure; filling the tank from mobile vehicles equipped with a pressure mechanism for this purpose; or filling from tested sources of water that are not equipped with a pressure mechanism. Three independent intake points then serve for dispensing drinking water.
The containers are manufactured in accordance with “Company Qualification to Manufacture ISO series 1 Freight Containers” issued by ČLPR Praha (Germanischer Lloyd). The containers feature CSC certification labels and can be transported on vehicles equipped for transporting 1C ISO containers.
The container is operable in macroclimatic areas with the following conditions:
- Temperatures peaking at -30°C to +50°C,
- Relative humidity up to 90% at +30°C,
- Wind speeds up to 20 m.s-1 in any direction,
- Atmospheric precipitation in the form of rainfall at an intensity of 3 mm per minute, falling at an angle of under 30°, in any direction.
The container base is comprised of a welded frame of squared reinforced steel cross-sections in combination with closed thin-wall steel sections and four bottom and top corners in compliance with ISO 1161.
The container walls are welded water-tight into place with steel squared trapezoidal 2 mm thick sheets. The container roof cover is comprised of a 1.5 mm steel sheet with grooves pressed into the steel.
The front wall of the container is filled with a double-door gate that can be opened at up to a 270° angle. The gate doors are constructed out of a closed thin-wall steel section frame with squared trapezoidal 2.5 mm thick metal sheet panelling. Each gate door is outfitted with four steel hinges and two locking bars.
The inner shell and ceiling of the container are made up of 45 mm thick thermal insulation panels. These are comprised of a layer of polyurethane foam sandwiched between sheets of metal. The 6 mm sheets are shiny, galvanised steel and feature a surface finish. The floor is made up of a 60 mm thick sandwich construction (45 mm insulation panel + 15 mm water-resistant plywood with a cast anti-skid top finish).
Entry doors – The container can be entered through a one-wing 900 mm wide door located on the side wall of the container; the door is equipped with a special bolt lock. A fixed window is built into the upper section of the door and features a hinged closable protective cover.
Compartments – Three compartments are located on the right side wall. The electricity distributor is located in the upper compartment; three drinking water dispensers and two connections for pressure filling the tank with drinking water are located in the middle compartment. One connection for filling the tank with drinking water and one connection for emptying the tank are located in the bottom compartment.
Plastic drinking water tank – The container is equipped with two separate plastic drinking water tanks insulated with polyethylene; each tank has a volume of 4 m3. Three self-priming pumps that are interconnected through pipes to the tanks and compartments are located in the floor.
System for securing clean drinking water – A system for dispensing diluted hypochlorate solution using a dosage dispensing pump that adds this solution in time intervals (adjustable parameter) depending on the current amount of water (measured parameter) is installed for each tank.
Electrical installation – A thermostat for regulating the interior temperature, ceiling heating panels, fluorescent lighting, air compressors (water purification) and electricity outlets are located in the main area of the container.
Fire extinguishers – The container is equipped with one P6 powder fire extinguisher (6kg capacity), including the installation of photoluminescent markers indicating the emergency exit and location of the fire extinguisher.
