SL I and SL II post boxes
SL I and SL II post boxes protect inserted mail from the elements and theft. The post boxes are made of a metal frame, its own fibreglass receptacle and an aluminium alloy opening.
Post boxes are available in two basic sizes, including a pillar for fixing to a concrete base or a holder for mounting to the wall. The front door is equipped with a lock. The entire post box opens by tilting the front open.
The frame, pillar and wall holder are metallised to provide an anti-corrosive surface treatment (silvery grey). Though the colour for SL I and SL II post boxes used in the Czech Republic is orange, the colour of the box and stand can be selected from the entire range of RAL shades. The post boxes have a minimum lifetime of 10 years.
SL III/2, SL III/3, SL III/4, SL III/8 delivery letter boxes and SL III/O deferment letter boxes
The SL III series of letter boxes are designated for delivering standard size letters. These are comprised of their own fibreglass receptacle whose interior is divided up into individual addressee boxes (blocks). The letter boxes can be mounted on a pillar or, using a holder, to a wall.
The letter carrier opens the box with one key for all the boxes – the entire front wall tilts forward. The addressees open the doors to individual blocks that are secured with a patent lock and cover.
The frame, pillar and wall holder are metallised to provide an anti-corrosive surface treatment (silvery grey). Post boxes used in the Czech Republic are delivered in dark blue (RAL 5010). Individual types of SL III series boxes are different according to the number of independent addressee blocks. The post boxes have a minimum lifetime of 10 years.
